We are seeking a passionate and experienced Brew Master to lead our brewing operations and craft exceptional beers that delight our customers. As a key member of our brewing team, you will oversee the entire brewing process including recipe development, quality control, packaging, and management of our production staff. This leadership position ensures that our beer meets the highest standards of quality, consistency and innovation. Duties
Manage all aspects of the brewing process from raw ingredient selection to fermentation, filtration, and packaging to produce high-quality craft beers.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and sanitation procedures to maintain product integrity.
Oversee sanitation procedures across all brewing equipment and production areas to uphold cleanliness and prevent contamination.
Maintain mechanical knowledge of brewing equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed.
Coordinate production schedule and work with marketing and sales team to ensure timely delivery of products to distributors and customers.
Supervise packaging operations, including kegging, bottling, and labeling processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate and warehouse activities related to raw materials, ingredients, and finished products, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
Lead staff training on food safety practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols such as forklift operation.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize brewing efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Requirements
Proven experience in brewing with a strong background in craft beer production; prior leadership or head brewer experience preferred. Formal brewing education (Siebel, UC Davis, etc. a plus).
Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, HACCP principles, CGMP regulations, and food safety practices essential for maintaining quality assurance.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on brewing equipment.
Familiarity with packaging processes including kegging, bottling, and labeling machinery.
Warehouse experience related to inventory management and material handling preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows within the beer industry environment.
