Event Details

Join us for a full day of discovery, flavor, and hands‑on learning as we explore the world of Montana barley from grain to glass.

Our day begins at 9:00 AM at Gallatin Valley Malt in Manhattan, MT, where maltstress Heather will guide us through an immersive tour of the facility. You’ll get an inside look at the craft, science, and passion that go into producing world‑class malt.

After the tour, we’ll break for lunch. You’re welcome to enjoy a meal on your own, or we can choose a spot and dine together—whatever feels right in the moment. Lunch is not provided by PBSMT, but the time is yours to enjoy.

At 1:30 PM, we’ll reconvene at the MSU Bozeman Campus Barley Lab for a behind‑the‑scenes tour with Hannah, followed by a visit to the MSU barley field to see the research and innovation happening right at the source.

It’s a day packed with learning, connection, and the chance to experience Montana’s barley culture up close. We’d love to have you with us.
