Event Details

A Safe Bars training course refers to bystander intervention training for staff in bars, restaurants, and other hospitality venues to prevent sexual harassment and aggression. Participants learn to identify harmful behaviors, overcome barriers to intervention, and take safe, effective action. The goal is to empower staff to create safer environments for patrons and colleagues, ultimately reducing unwanted sexual aggression.

Key Components of Safe Bars Training

Active Bystander Skills: Teaches staff to recognize problematic behaviors and intervene in a proactive and responsible manner.

Allyship Skills: Focuses on building a culture of respect and support within the establishment.

De-escalation Skills: Provides strategies for handling tense situations and reducing potential harm.

Understanding sexual violence: Increases awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual aggression in nightlife
