Professional Bio
I’m a people-first professional with a passion for pints. I possess a unique blend of experience in both the helping profession and the craft beer industry. My career journey highlights a consistent dedication to working with and empowering people, whether I'm supporting vulnerable populations, the military or engaging with beer enthusiasts. I've been immersed in the craft beer world since 2016, from Brand Ambassador to Sales Representative and Beertender.
Prior to my pivot into beer, I spent years in the non-profit sector, gaining extensive experience working with diverse groups including individuals with developmental disabilities, troubled youth, the elderly, and military personnel. I've held various positions, demonstrating a capacity for both direct care and management.
I’m originally from Hanover, PA, and attended college at the University of Pittsburgh. I moved to Albuquerque, NM, in 1997 seeking adventure. Meeting my Air Force husband there kicked off a series of exciting moves, taking me to Germany, Nevada, Nebraska, Ohio, Arizona, and Virginia multiple times. I've finally settled down in Yorktown, VA, which I now call my permanent home.
To know me is to know I love beer and travel. I’ve visited breweries in all 50 states and 22 countries. Even my beloved dogs, Jasper Park and Dunkel Bock, are named in homage to my passions for travel and beer. It's clear that beer isn't just a job for me, it's a fundamental part of my life and even played a role in meeting my husband! Beyond beer, I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, and camping.
Beyond my professional and personal pursuits, I'm a natural leader. My recent role as the chapter leader for the Hampton Roads chapter of PBS since October 2023 further showcases my leadership capabilities. I possess the ability to see the big picture, pay attention to detail, maintain strong organizational skills, and effectively motivate diverse personalities.
