International Women’s Month: Taking Up Space, Together

International Women’s Month invites us to pause, reflect, and—most importantly—celebrate the people who continue to reshape our industries with courage, creativity, and care. Across fermentation and hospitality spaces, Pink Boots Society shows up with intention: in breweries and distilleries, behind bars and in labs, on the floor greeting guests and in the back of the house dialing in process and precision.

Showing Up in Diverse Spaces

Pink Boots Society has always understood that fermentation is bigger than beer alone. While brewing remains a core pillar, our community thrives wherever flavor, science, and hospitality intersect. From malt houses to tasting rooms, from marketing desks to cellar floors, women and nonbinary members are visible, valued, and vital. This month, that presence feels especially powerful—because representation isn’t symbolic; it’s operational.

Collaboration Collective: Brewing Beyond Beer

This year also marks a bold kickoff to Collaboration Collective brewing across all fermentation. Members are thinking beyond the expected—expanding the collaborative spirit into bitters, whiskeys, and hot sauces in lieu of (or alongside) beer.

  • Bitters collaborations spotlight botanical knowledge and extraction techniques that blur the lines between bar craft and fermentation science.

  • Whiskeys bring grain-to-glass storytelling, elevating distillation as a space where women and nonbinary professionals lead innovation.

  • Hot sauces celebrate fermentation’s global roots—pairing peppers, microbes, and culture into products that spark conversation and connection.

This “out-of-the-box” approach isn’t about replacing beer; it’s about expanding the table and honoring the full spectrum of fermentation artistry.

Front and Back of the House—Claiming It All

International Women’s Month is also a moment to celebrate those forging ahead in every role. Pink Boots members take up space confidently front of the house, shaping guest experiences, building brands, and driving hospitality forward. They also anchor the back of the house, mastering production, quality, logistics, and leadership. The message is clear: excellence has many forms, and all of them belong here.
