Allagash Brewing Company, a proud B Corp member based in Portland, seeks an experienced (at least 5 years progressively responsible experience in beer sales) Maine Area Sales Manager to join our sales team. This newly created role will collaborate inter and cross departmentally on the strategy for our all important home market. This position will put you at the forefront of fostering community partnerships and uncovering new opportunities that align with our values and vision. Maintaining an even-keeled attitude while working under pressure to meet deadlines is a must. Superior communication skills are crucial to this role, and versatility to engage effectively with coworkers, accounts, and wholesale partners is essential, as you’ll work collaboratively to develop annual goals for each wholesaler in conjunction with the overall brand strategy. This position requires extensive knowledge of the Craft Beer segment, market forces in the state of Maine, and the ability to lead, train and instruct to maximize the sales potential of each team member. Expert level organizational ability, including time management, is a must to be successful. Highly proficient data analytics, computer skills, with strong knowledge of Google Suite, or the equivalent, and the ability to learn new technologies as they become relevant is expected. This position will supervise a team of 2 individuals currently in Field Sales Representative roles to start.
This is a salaried, full-time position. We are offering $90,000 to $110,000 base compensation for this role, and an individual offer will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Also, this position is eligible for our sales incentives program, with the potential to earn up to an additional $18,000 each year as well as annual company wide profit sharing. This position requires evening and weekend hours. A valid driver's license is required for this position. This position ideally will be based in the greater Portland area, and extensive driving will be required as we have growth opportunities throughout the state. As a sales leader with close proximity to the brewery, you will be able to be present at the brewery, develop relationships throughout the organization and maintain a deep connection to the brand and the community.
