About the Project
Baguales was born in Puerto Natales in 2006, at a time when Chile had only a handful of craft breweries and brewing outside of major urban centers presented immense technical and logistical challenges. From the very beginning, we committed to something different: beers with their own character—intense, experimental, and deeply inspired by the indomitable spirit of Patagonia. We call them beers that are "bien baguales" (wild/untamed).
Over the years, Baguales has grown alongside the tourism development of Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine, one of the most iconic destinations in the world. Today, our beers are enjoyed by visitors from all over the globe, giving our brewery a local character with international projection, further enhanced by the Baguales Brewpub adjacent to the brewery.
The project continues to evolve, incorporating new lines such as Bierschnaps distillation and the development of barrel-aged whisky, while maintaining our original spirit: exploring, experimenting, and creating beverages with territorial identity at the "end of the world."
We are now looking for a professional to lead the next stage of this story.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute full-scale beer production.
Operate and supervise distillation processes (Bierschnaps and whisky).
Ensure quality control and product consistency.
Manage inventory and raw material sourcing.
Supervise the production team.
Propose process improvements and plant efficiency strategies.
Candidate Profile
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of proven experience (combining formal studies and professional brewing).
Certification: IBD (Institute of Brewing & Distilling) certification or equivalent.
Distilling: Previous experience in distillation is highly desirable.
Skills: Technical rigor, quality orientation, and leadership abilities.
Interest: A passion for artisanal projects with a strong territorial identity.
