🍎🐺 Pink Boots Monthly Meetup: Orchard Wassail Edition 🐺🍎
Join Pittsburgh Pink Boots for our January monthly meeting as we head to A Few Bad Apples located at Altered Genius – Trailside location to celebrate the history and tradition of the Orchard Wassail, just days after the January full Wolf Moon.
Our official “meeting” time will be 4:00 so we can stay for the Firkin tapping and live music.  BUT, all are welcome to join our friends from TRASH (Three Rivers Alliance of Serious Homebrewers), who are hosting their monthly meeting starting at 1 PM. These meetings are always open to the public, and this month features a club cider competition—a great opportunity to learn more about brewing beer, cider, or mead and connect with fellow fermentation enthusiasts. Pink Boots members are encouraged to sit in, participate, and socialize.
1 PM: TRASH monthly meeting + club cider competition

5 PM: Firkin tapping, followed by live music from The Wolf Tones

4–8 PM: Food by Milos Mediterranean Street Food
What’s an Orchard Wassail?
The Orchard Wassail is a centuries-old winter tradition from Southern England, also known as “howling.” Participants would gather in cider orchards with a wassail bowl to bless the trees—singing, toasting, and making noise to ensure a bountiful harvest in the coming season.
Come raise a glass, learn something new, and celebrate tradition, community, and fermentation with Pink Boots.
