North Bay Chapter: Market-Proof Hop Water: Thirst Quenching, Zero ABV, Consumer Safe Hoppy Waters

Jenna Bautista (she/her) will be sharing her expertise working with zero ABV products, such as the Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher with the North Bay Chapter! Jenna currently spends a lot of time looking through a microscope at Lagunitas as the senior quality analyst in Petaluma, California. She has been working at Lagunitas for six years, where she developed the sampling protocol for the Hoppy Refresher and other non-alcohol products. She specializes in microbiology but also works in analysis, innovation, and packaging. She has been in brewing science for more than ten years and has held officer positions in local Pink Boots Society chapters for nearly as long. She studied brewing in Munich at Doemens Academy in 2017 and received a Bachelor of Science in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2011. Jenna has been passionate about microbiology ever since her dad bought her a microscope for her eighth birthday and she is happy to share how lucky she is to still use one every day.
