Where: Loaded Question Brewing Co.
When: Tuesday, July 8th, 2025
Time: 6-9pm (but feel free to show up early and hang out!)
Bonus: snacks will be provided

Here's the game plan...
- 6pm arrive, grab a beer and meet the NH Chapter Members!
- 6:30pm, we'll get things rolling with a quick Pink Boots Society Update (scholarships, news, chapter fundraising ideas...)
- 7pm, Hop Sensory workshop with NH Chapter member Michelle of Crosby Hops!
- 8pm, Networking

Crosby Hops - Sensory Session
Hops featured: Estate Grown Amarillo, Cascade, and Chinook

We'll begin with a short discussion around various topics including:
- Review a bit of hop history and info (where and how they're grown/harvested, what role they play in brewing, the transition from utilizing hops for alpha oils vs. aromatics, how pellets are created, hop storage index)
- Brief tutorial on how to rub hops and what sensory qualities to look for or expect
- Sensory comparison: I thought about bringing items that participants can compare and contrast with the hops, ie orange/lemon/lime peel for citrus, baking spices, pine sap for pine/resin, etc
- Compare the 3 different varieties: aromatic expression, development/cone shape, hop storage (hsi and naturally poor storage hops vs good), uses in the brewhouse
Rub the hop pellets!

Chat and discuss with group members' thoughts, feedback, and questions.

This meeting is open to ALL PBS MEMBERS! You don't have to be a NH Chapter member to attend. FREE for PBS Members and First-Time-Attendees or $20 Donation for non-members to attend.

We'll see you at Loaded Question - Cheers!
