Asheville Chapter Sensory Tour and Meet Up at New Belgium
Sunday, March 8th 3:45-6:00PM
Summary: Come celebrate International Women's Day with the Asheville chapter at New Belgium! Current chapter members are invited to explore New Belgium's brewhouse during a private 90-minute production tour and sensory experience from 4-5:30pm, followed by optional food and drinks at the Liquid Center.
The Details: Let's cheers to a new collaboration beer! Each year, our friends at New Belgium (21 Craven Street) produce a Pink Boots Society collaboration brew, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Asheville chapter. Their collaboration brew is released annually on International Women's Day (March 8th) which falls on a Sunday this year.
PBS Asheville chapter members are invited to celebrate the beer release event with a private, guided tour through New Belgium's expansive production facility, which includes a general tour of their brew house's production, a run-through of the brewing process and a product sensory experience. The tour itself will take place from about 4:00-5:30PM, and attendees should arrive closer to 3:45PM to check in.
RSVPs are required to attend the tour. Please email pbsasheville@pinkbootssociety.org to RSVP no later than Friday, March 6th at 11:59AM EST. Guests attending the tour are expected to dress in brew day attire (close-toed shoes, full-length pants, no bulky/dangling jewelry, etc.) to ensure comfort and safety. RSVPd guests should check in at the Liquid Center's bar and/or host stand and inform the New Belgium staff that you're there for the "Pink Boots Tour."
Once the tour concludes, we encourage everyone to stick around for optional beers and food at the Liquid Center, with special consideration given to purchasing/drinking their PBS collaboration brew (a West Coast IPA yet to be named). Check out New Belgium's website leading up to the event to learn more about day-of food truck offerings.
New Belgium also has a series of publicly accessible events happening at their facility to celebrate the occasion including:
Barre Class: 11:15AM - 12:00PM (tickets required)
Women's Self Defense Class: 4:00 - 6:00PM (RSVP required)
Ample parking is available in New Belgium's private lot(s) as well as street parking options along Craven Street. New Belgium parking can be a bit tight on the weekends, so we recommend being patient while you seek parking at their campus.
Please contact pbsasheville@pinkbootsociety.org to RSVP or with any questions.
