Professional Bio
Hi all! My name is La Sia (she/her), pronounced La-sigh-ah. After travelling and living abroad, I immersed myself in the world of nonprofit international education, navigating the complexities of program advising, business operations, and cross-cultural communication for almost a decade. A short stint in federal HR provided me the opportunity to experience business strategy, collaborating with leadership on staffing challenges.
My interest in beer developed while visiting local breweries in the DC area. Making friends and learning about the beer industry in the process. While travelling abroad, I sought out international breweries, tasting different styles, and becoming further intrigued with the industry. I recently completed the Brewers Association mentorship program as a Fall 2024 cohort and am currently part of the Pink Boots Education committee.
My career aspirations lie at the intersection of beer, travel, and consulting, with a people-focused, DEI, and community-minded approach. I am a lifelong learner, endlessly curious, and love discovering new perspectives.
