Jessica Bloom - Membership Director Candidate

Hi, I’m Jessica Bloom, nominating myself for Membership Director. I’ve been a Pink Boots member since 2019, KC Co-Leader for 3 years, and am now Mentor Match Lead and Membership Committee Co-Chair.

I’ve been in the brewing industry since 2017, starting behind the bar, moving into assistant brewing, and now sales with Odell, as all good elder millennials do. I’ve struggled, felt stuck, and found people who changed my life in PBS.

For two years, I’ve helped create programming around mental health, career growth, and our industries. I’m proud of my open roundtable idea born from a conversation about how hard things have been and changed lately. 

Mentor Match has become my baby, I’ve put time into fostering and cultivating it for members. One mentee has said their biggest win was “Having support.”
And that’s the whole point.

I want to help build a Pink Boots that adapts to our members, creates intentional and mindful programming, and reminds us we don’t have to figure everything out alone.

Libby Taylor - Membership Director Candidate

I have worked in the front of house an multiple craft beer operations for 10+ years. I was the Utah Chapter President before relocating to Texas.

I have a thorough knowledge of the fundraising and recruiting procedures of the Pink Boots Society. Throw my years involved in Pink Boots, I  have come to appreciated folks from all fermented worlds and areas of their own respective industries.  As a GM at breweries for the last 6 years, I have found success in creating engagement in the organizations with my staff directly.

I have also managed the beer education at my breweries, fostering the same core values of PBS in my own operations. I would be excited to continue to support an organization that has been incredibly beneficial to my professional and personal life however I can. 

Paulina Olivares - Membership Director Candidate

Hello, Pink Boots members! I'm Paulina Olivares, and I'm honored to be considered for Membership Director.

I joined the Sacramento chapter in 2018 and found a community that believed in me before I fully believed in myself. Since then, I've served in various positions of the leadership team, and each role has taught me something about what it takes to make members feel seen and supported.

I am currently the  Membership Engagement Coordinator for the California Craft Brewers Association. I truly believe I am where I am today because of Pink Boots Society. In 2023, I had the chance to speak on a Pink Boots Society panel at the CCBA California Craft Beer Summit. Today, I am helping plan that same event as a staff member. I never take that full-circle moment for granted, and it's exactly what I want to pass forward. Someone made room for me, and I want to do the same for others who have previously been neglected or excluded.

As Membership Director, I want to help make the industry more approachable, more inclusive, and a most importantly, a safer place for everyone.
