| Brief Description |
The Seasonal Production Packaging role exists to put craft beer and beverages into vessels that can travel the world. This person carries out all packaging operations, including canning, bottling, keg washing and filling, palletizing, and preparing products for distribution. This person also maintains and cleans the packaging equipment and areas. Varying schedule to occasionally include weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
Essential Functions: Being able to complete all scheduled shifts and tasks as directed by supervisor Effectively sanitizing and cleaning all packaging equipment before, during, and after use Safely and efficiently filling containers with beer and beverages Monitoring and maintaining packaging line during use; making operational adjustments as needed Maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment Stacking, wrapping, or otherwise organizing and preparing packaged beer and beverages for distribution Recording necessary data accurately and efficiently during packaging operations, calculating and storing data afterwards Have the ability to comfortably work on a ladder on a daily basis Attending all scheduled employee meetings and mandatory events Weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance on all packaging equipment Inputting production info into Ekos(or other brewery inventory software) Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Ideal Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Previous production brewing experience preferred Basic math competency such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computation of rates, ratios, and percentages etc. Basic mechanical competency Ability to read labels on chemicals and SDS sheets Ability to communicate with coworkers in a high-noise environment General knowledge of occupational hazards and safe operating procedures associated with the essential functions of the position (may be obtained during training Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Operator’s certification (may be obtained within the first 90 days of employment); must be able to safely operate brewery equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Must be able to adapt to frequent changes in workload and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate Valid OLCC Server’s Permit preferred Cicerone Certified Beer Server Certification or greater preferred
