Event Details

We will first have a discussion about commonly used vernacular/ descriptions for flavors in beer (ie. For Malt, Yeast, Hops, Phenols, & Esters) by using the structured BJCP scoresheet as a guide
Then we will move to actually tasting beers with these flavors and doing a style discrimination - will need everyone to bring a few cans/ bottles of each of the following beers
American Light Lager vs. German Pilsner
IPA vs. American Pale Ale
Belgian Triple vs. Saison
Hefeweizen vs. American Wheat
American Amber vs. ESB
A wild fermented sour vs. a kettle sour or Berliner weisse
Scottish Ale vs. Wee Heavy
