Professional Bio
Alana Koenig-Busey (she/her) is a nonprofit leader and creative strategist with a background in front-of-house management, beverage program development, human resources administration, and staff development. She brings over a decade of experience in arts, culture, and community-focused programming to her work.
Alana currently serves as Director of Operations for the National Black Brewers Association (NB2A), where she leads strategic initiatives to support and elevate Black brewers across the country. Her work focuses on advancing equity, building partnerships, and increasing visibility for underrepresented voices in craft beer.
She also serves on the boards of Safe Bars and the Pink Boots Society, advocating for safer, more inclusive environments in the beverage alcohol industry. Known for her empathetic leadership and collaborative approach, Alana is passionate about mentoring others as they navigate purpose-driven career - especially those working at the intersection of hospitality, equity, and community impact.
Outside of work, Alana enjoys spending time outdoors - hiking, skiing, and camping - with her husband, toddler, and pup. She also finds joy in reading, painting, gardening, and enjoying a well-crafted beverage at one of her local breweries.
