In partnership with Brew Pipeline, Pink Boots Society is excited to announce the Portland State University’s Business of Craft Brewing Certificate scholarship recipient, Gabriel Clarke.

Gabriel Clarke is a Tasting Room Team Member at Maine Beer Company in Freeport, ME. She recently joined Pink Boots Society and the Maine Chapter where she has been a highly valued member in her short time with the Chapter. Gabriel recently brewed her first beer “Trans Rights” with Belleflower Brewing Company. Gabriel considers the Portland State University’s Business in Craft Brewing Certificate an opportunity to prep herself as a transgender individual to take on leadership and production skills within the fermented beverage industry. She believes that taking these courses will provide her with the tools to help other trans/non-binary people with confidence as well as sharing the knowledge from these courses. Gabriel intends to create a space not only for herself, but for other LGBTQ+ members and beer enthusiasts who are prepared and eager to help redefine what craft beer is and can be for the next generation and on.

This fully online Business of Craft Brewing Certificate program, taught by industry experts, provides the knowledge and resources for aspiring and established craft brewing professionals to develop fully actionable business plans to launch new craft breweries or optimize existing business operations. While brewing is emphasized, distillery and cidery business models are also included.
